I've been working hard to finish my story, "Precipitation," before the movie drops (and vitiates my canon). And I'm happy/sad to report that the story is now complete ... just waiting on my betas and I'll start posting the last four chapters. All will be posted before 3/14/14. Please prepare to engage your suspension of disbelief.

In the meantime, please enjoy this summary* of just how much sh!t they're in ... and of course this doesn't even mention what happened in Chicago.

If you haven't been reading this fic, why the hell not? Logan Echolls in handcuffs! Car chases! Scary dudes and angst up the wazoo! And now you can be assured that it WILL be finished, and you won't be reading 150,000 words without a payoff.

Man, I didn't even think about all of the charges in El Dorado. I was thinking, "What's the big deal?" This is fantastic and thanks for putting it together and sharing, it puts it all into perspective.

I am really enjoying this story and am glad I finally took the time to read. I'm especially glad I waited until it was almost complete. I'd be jone-sing for updates right about now. :)

It's actually not my favorite genre, but there are noir books/movies where the average joe gets more and more ensnared in crime, gradually turning into an antihero. No matter what they do, it goes wrong/they become more evil. Pretty nihilistic. "Breaking Bad" would be a typical example. That's sort of what I was going for.

Sticking the landing is the hard part.
